Podcast Subscription

I choose the "Jean Chatzky's Practical Money Minute" podcast. It includes 1-2 minute video podcasts about Personal Finance topics ranging from renter's insurance to retirement planning. I liked the wide range of topics that are included. Ms. Chatzky covers financial topics such as caring for the eldery, marriage/wedding planning, health insurance, and home buying. I also liked that each video was short in length. It could easily be used to start off a lesson or fill the last couple of minutes of a class period. However, sometimes the general topic was split into three or four podcasts (for example, there were two separate podcasts about employer-sponsored benefits...one about flexible spending accounts and one about retirement savings plans). I would have preferred some of her topics to be a little more in depth and possibly combined to give complete information in one podcast.

This podcast could easily be incorporated into a Personal Finance course. The topics are relevant to the students' financial literacy. It addresses topics they are going to face regardless of what they chose to do after graduation.
